Aussies won’t stop smiling

For the umpteenth time, Ricky Ponting has stated that his side were NOT too friendly during the Ashes series, adding that he had no problem with the evident friendship between Shane Warne and Kevin Pietersen. Indeed, Ponting does not expect the smile to leave the Aussies’ faces this time around either.

Speaking to The Sunday Mail, Ponting said, “I guess a lot of people may have got the impression that we were too friendly by the close friendship Warnie has with Pietersen, but this stems back to their county cricket.I can tell you that last year’s Ashes series was an incredibly tough battle on the field and I expect this season’s to be no different.”

He went on to say “I think I play my best cricket – as does the team – when we have a smile on our faces.”
