Anderson Full Of Confidence
Arjun Miglani |The upcoming Champions Trophy will virtually be the start of the season for James Anderson, having missed out during the summer with a back injury. Speaking to “Sky Sports News”, he expressed his confidence ahead of the tournament, both for himself and the team.
“It is like the start of the summer for me, I’ve trained really hard and am raring to go. Hopefully it will go well,” said Anderson. England are in desperate need of freshness after their recent ODI humiliations, and Anderson could be the one to provide it. Speaking about their prospects for the tournament, Anderson stated,” “We’ve had a few injury problems over the summer, but Fred (Andrew Flintoff) is back and Harmy (Steve Harmison) is going to be there, so hopefully we can put up a good fight. If we play to our potential I don’t see why we can’t (win it).”
Anderson added that the tournament was ideal preparation for the Ashes.
