McGrath returns to club cricket
James Nixon |After returning home from Australia’s tri-series in Malaysia, Glenn McGrath is set to get straight back into action with his club side Sutherland.
McGrath will play alongside fellow Australian Phil Jaques and New Zealander Daryl Tuffey who is returning from a long injury layoff due to a bicep injury.
McGrath had a fairly steady return to the Australian national team in Malaysia taking one wicket from four games at a cost of 71 runs from 26 overs.
Although failing to take his usual hat full of wickets, he beat the bat on numerous occasions and caused opposing batsmen problems, while mantaining an economy rate of only 2.73.
Sutherland play Mosman at Caringbah Oval this weekend.
