NZC Contracts Dispute Denied
Richard Edmunds |Following a report over the weekend that New Zealand Cricket was in conflict with its players over the signing of a contract that required them to surrender their individual sponsorships for a six month period to comply with the International Cricket Council’s requirements for the Champions Trophy, spokesmen from both NZC and the New Zealand Cricket Players’ Association have denied any conflict between the two sides.
Although the still yet to be signed contract was supposed to have been submitted to the ICC by June 1, both sides claim that there is no dispute and that negotiations are proceeding well. However, they have both declined to comment again until an agreement has been reached.
