Graeme Smith out for 12 weeks

A scan done on Graeme Smith’s ankle has showed two torn ligaments sidelining him for up to 12 weeks Cricket South Africa have said.

As we reported earlier this week Graeme Smith hands the captaincy over to Ashwell Prince for the Test series.

Smith will be in a cast for up to six weeks and then return to light rehabilitation in the hope he can return to cricket earlier than the 12 weeks that he is likely to be on the sidelines for.
