Malik’s surgery successful
James Nixon |Shoaib Malik’s surgery to correct his bowling action has been successful and he is now expected to be fit for Pakistan’s tour of England.
Malik underwent the operation in Cape Town, South Africa where floating bones from his right elbow were removed and tissues repired.
Malik has been advised to rest for up to eight weeks before batting and bowling again.
Pakistan’s tour of England consists of four Test matches, five one day internationals and one Twenty20 international with the first match of the tour kicking off on 1st July with a tour match against county side Leicestershire.
