Tendulkar out for three months

Sachin Tendulkar has under-gone successful surgery on his shoulder in a London hospital which is likely to put him out of all cricket for three months.

A statement released by orthopaedic surgeon Andrew Wallace said “His arm will be immobilised in a sling for up to six weeks and it is unlikely that he will be fit for selection for international cricket for up to two to three months depending on regular review.”

“The surgery proceeded successfully without any complications.”

India tour the West Indies in May/June for five one-day Internationals and four Tests.
