WA Xl Look the Goods

The Western Australian Xl was in a good position after declaring at 300/5 in reply to The South African first innings of 8 Declared for 292. Some fine batting from youngsters Luke Pomersbach (145) and Liam Davis (60) set up the declaration.

Shaun Pollock was the pick of the South African bowlers claiming 3/51. It will be interesting to see whether South Africa set the WA Xl a run chase on the third and last day tomorrow (Tuesday). After a poor lost in there last outing South Africa will be keen to avoid defeat before the first Test versus Australia.
