India&Pakistan Injuries Persist

India and Pakistan both have continued injury problems leading up to the third ODI in Lahore.

Shoaib Akhtar has been ruled out of the rest of the series after he aggravated his ankle injury during practice yesterday. Akhtar will take 4-6 weeks out of the game to recover from the injury.

The Pakistan selectors are to name a replacement, which is likely to see 23 year-old Yasir Arafat come into the twelve.

There are also continued injuries within the Indian camp with Virender Sehwag to miss the third ODI with a shoulder injury he sustained while batting during the second ODI at Rawalpindi. Gautam Gambhir is expected to take his place at the top of the order.

Harbhajan Singh is also still in doubt after a finger injury kept him out of the first two matches.
