Laxman out of ODI squad

VVS Laxman has been dropped from the ODI squad to face Sri Lanka beginning on October 25, while Mohammad Kaif and Sourav Ganguly are omitted with injury.

Following taking 7 wickets in 3 Challenger Series matches, medium pacer Sree Santh has been called up to the squad, along with Rudra Pratap Singh, who made his debut recently against Zimbabwe.

While a good performance in the Challenger Series got Sree Santh into the side, 110 and 48 for India A was not enough for Laxman, and the series also caused Kaif to miss out, as he injured a hamstring fielding in the final.
