Australia continue to dominate
Richard Twyman |Australia continues to lead the pack as the LG ICC ODI Championship table, after the rankings underwent their annual update.
Australia’s ranking remains unchanged on 136 points but second-placed Sri Lanka have gain three points, reducing the lead to 16 points.
Pakistan are the major benefactors from the annual update, climbing from fifth to third after a poor 12 months in 2002-03 which now no longer counts towards Pakistan’s total.
This is enough to put Pakistan narrowly ahead of New Zealand when the ratings are recalculated to three decimal places. New Zealand’s rating is unchanged but if they were to win their next ODI it will jump them above Pakistan into a top three position again.
