Knee Injury Forces Katich Home

Simon Katich has suffered a knee injury while playing for Hampshire in their recent Championship game against Glamorgan forcing him to return to Australia a week earlier than originally planned.

Although the injury didn’t prevent Katich from taking a full part in Hampshire’s win over Glamorgan he is being careful with the upcoming NatWest and Ashes series beginning early next month.

Katich will return to England on June 5th with the Australian ODI squad however to start preparation for the NatWest Tri-Series against England and Bangladesh.

Shane Warne also picked up a slight knock to his fingers but it won’t keep him out of Hampshire’s next match against Warwickshire.
