Moin Khan Returns for WI Tour

Moin Khan has made it back into the Pakistan ODI squad for the West Inindies tour after some good performances in domestic cricket recently.

Meanwhile Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami have been left out of the touring party on medical grounds after the Pakistan Cricket Board doctors felt they weren’t ready for international cricket.

It was felt that Akhtar needed more time to regain match fitness while Mohammad Sami still needs time to recover following surgery to remove a corn in his right heel.

Mohammad Hafeez was replaced by Yasir Hameed while Umar Gul was not selected despite being fully fit.
