Tendulkar not yet fully fit

Indian coach Greg Chappell has said Sachin Tendulkar is not yet fully fit ahead of the tri-series with South Africa and Sri Lanka starting next Monday.

Chappell told reporters before depature for Colombo that “we are confident he will be, if not fully fit, so close to it that it will be satisfactory for everyone”.

Tendulkar has scored 14,146 runs and averages 44.20 with 39 hundreds from 362 one-day internationals.

India’s first match of the tri-series is against Sri Lanka on 16th August.
