Patel set for inclusion in 4th ODI

There a few pointers leading towards the inclusion of Jeetan Patel in the playing eleven for the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka at Eden Park in Auckland.

The Black Caps currently lead the series 2-1 and can wrap it up with a win at Eden Park.

Stephen Fleming returns to the side for the fourth ODI and takes over the captaincy from Daniel Vettori.

Fleming told Newstalk ZB on the possible inclusion of Patel that they need to give him opportunities to stay cricket fit, and it was vital for the side leading up to the World Cup, that both Vettori and Patel were at their best, with slow and low pitches expected in the West Indies.

On the Sri Lankan front, Lasith Malinga and Chaminda Vaas are expected to come back into the Sri Lankan side.
