Inquiry into Pakistan results

The Pakistani Ministry of Sports has initiated an inquiry into Pakistan’s poor results throughout the tour of England.

Sarfraz Nawaz, a member of the Committee of the Ministry of Sports and former Pakistan fast bowler, was a key figure in the setting up of the inquiry.

The inquiry will search for an explanation of the poor results of the tour, where Pakistan lost the four Test match series 3-0, and drew the one-day international series 2-2. The facilities being provided for Pakistani coach Bob Woolmer and the support staff will also be investigated.

Nawaz has been a vocal critic of the Woolmer, and it is not the first time the Ministry of Sports have undertaken an inquiry of this nature. A similar inquiry was set up in 2004 after Pakistan lost a Test series to India.
