Ganguly injured

Indian captain Sourav Ganguly failed to pass fit for a Duleep Trophy tie, that started today, because of a side strain.

Ganguly is said to have suffered the injury during the annual Challenger Trophy that took place last week in Mumbai. He, however, will get one more opportunity to get match practice before the all-important series against the visiting neighbours, Pakistan, gets underway, when he takes the field in another Duleep Trophy match, starting February 22.
