They have Lyon, and though O Reilly is a big upgrade, Smith in 2010s is arguably the greatest peak ever, you don't change that
Again, 90s Waqar was prime Waqar, with arguably the greatest peak ever, you don't change that
WI had other good batsman and Hadlee can contribute to that as well, but he would carry the bowling line up as he did with NZ and lead WI to more wins that Sobers imo
On those wickets in that era, there is little point in trading in an off spinner, even one as good as Ashwin. I'll keep Miandad's batting
Yes, Jadeja would be the perfect addition. They already have Steyn, Philander or Rabada. Adding Jadeja would be a great addition for them in all 3 departments.

Maybe, I think it'd be difficult to say how well O'Reilly would go in a much different era of Australian bowling since the dependence on spin bowling has changed a lot for them at home especially.

No, they'd weaken their bowling attack by a lot and that hampers their ability to win games.

I think this is possible if I was making the trade. On the whole, probably not since it risks making a situation like the recent SA side with the imbalance in batting/bowling.

Probably not? SA won a lot on the back of their pace bowling and Morkel was one of their better pacers. And it'd be hard to say Jadeja can match his impact given the SA wickets at home generally did favour pacers more.

No. Smith has way less impact than Waqar
Debatable. For WI, they woukd have been very much similar in value.
No. Miandad for Pakistan was way more than the bat. And he is as astute as Ashwin about tactics too.
Yes. Other than for Steyn and Kallis, they will trade anyone for Jadeja
