Wimbledon 2024

This Fearnley lad is special.
Wow, he is a player.
I wasn't getting that impression - more that Djokovic's mobility was ****ed and if he was playing anyone half decent he'd have been knocked out.

Fearnley is 23 and ranked 271 - I think that really says what his capabilities are, and also where Djokovic's fitness is at.

Pretty solid rain today, suspect it'll be primarily the closed courts only for today.
Yeah, it's grim down south. If you had a ticket for the grounds I'm not sure you'd bother going.

Raducanu v Sakkari should be interesting, a repeat of the one sided (6-1 6-4) 2021 US Open semi.

Raducanu is now the 4th favourite for this. 7-2 Gauff & Rybakina, 4-1 Swiatek, 8-1 Raducanu.

Confident Emma will be raising the Claret Jug if she can bring the same form she had in R2 each round.
She obviously likes the ball coming on to her, and I get the impression centre court is a little bit slower than C1. Hope she can overcome that today, which obviously she'd need to do to win the title anyway.

Claret Jug??? They play for that at Troon in 2 weeks.

Fully expecting Lulu Sun's great run to end against Raducanu, but reaching the fourth round is a big achievement in her first Wimbledon (and after coming through the qualifiers, no less). She's the first Kiwi to get this far in the women's singles since Dame Ruia Morrison in the '50s!

Carlos was pushed today, he didn't quite hit his best until the 4th set tie breaker.

Coco was brilliant, she gave an exhibition in hitting and her backhand looks to be damn near perfect

Yeah seems to have blown away a bit. I'm 10miles as crow flys from SW14, so obvs things can be better there :)

Emma's wrists are a concern though...Rybakina looking good so far. Are they in the same half? So many top players are gone already...the situation is ripe for another surprise champion...hope it's not Putintseva or Ostapenko, can't stand either...

Stokes and Sachin were there too.

Anyway, Swiatek out (no great surprise). You’d think Raducanu would come through Sun easily enough tomorrow. Rybakina looking strong too.
Think I saw Root and Stokes together
