Sundar was actually the right man for the job, but yeah the rotation sucked as did the other batsman.
It really was kind of bizarre though, just kept happily exposing the tail at the other end then they'd fall within the first one or two balls of the over. Happened three times in four overs iirc.

You forgot Kohli shoulder charging a 19 year old kid on debut. Turned the whole crowd against him and India (which turned out to be the largest crowd ever in Australia)

Honestly I think Australia played more as a team than India. I genuinely think that the main difference between the two sides in the end was not the individual performances (2/3 of the best performances were Bumrah and Jaiswal) but the team cohesion.

The pivotal moment in the match for me was Kohli running out Jaiswal in the first innings. He basically lost India 3 wickets with his selfishness. But there were lots of other moments when it felt like Indians were playing for themselves while Australians were playing for their team.

It also helps if you hold your catches.

Siraj's 0/122 was certainly a help. It was a thing of beauty and has been my favourite part of this series so far.

Two moments stand out

Kohli-Jaiswal mix up which triggered a collapse and Kohli himself losing concentration after leaving balls outside off stump all day.

And Jaiswal dropping Marnus when they were 91-6. 91-7 with Cummins and the tail becomes a completely different matchup.

Despite Jaiswal being involved in match changing moments, he's hardly to cop any blame when Rohit and Kohli have been shitting the bed for most of the series and putting pressure on other batsmen to get big scores.

You can add Pant's irresponsible stroke making too but the rest are a bit too insignificant to be match changing imo.

RG sharma constant failings. Top order failed twice- KL out cheaply twice, RG Sharma out cheaply twice. << always a non performing top order is the main cause of a match lose.

everyone else contributed and cant be solely to blame.
Pant is a keeper bat, cant be blamed as hes not top order.

Bowlers did their job.
