90s, a lot of triangular tournaments played in this era, world series, odi series, Sharjah cups. A lot of odi teams were strong and Zimbabwe were a formidable odi team from the mid 90s onwards

00s, the triangular tournaments continued from the 90s

00s had many tournaments too. Indian fans will remember India losing many finals in the 2000-2005 period.

Many tri series's too.

1996-2005 was a great period for ODI cricket.

The game was very balanced between the bat and ball.

It was more modern compared to the 1970s and 1980s. At the same time it was not batting dominated like the 2010s which was influenced by T20 cricket and IPL.
