WCC International Calender

Well another BIG development in the last day or for WCC..

As you would all know, the off season has always had a All Star series, which seems to have changed format almost every season...

Well some suggestions from the board and some quick work by a few people we have decided to bring in a WCC International Series..

All International sides will take part.. Players all have nationalities, Rookies who have been generated are assigned to the country of the team where they played their 1st competitive match...

Each off season the international games will be played, things like Test tours, ODI series and every 3-4 seasons a World Cup...

Now for the important part...

Each team will have 2 managers, the managers will have the duty of selecting the original Squad for their country, then they would then lead their team through their tours during the off season...

Managers will need to meet expectations otherwise will be replaced.. (The board will decide on whether the Expectations are met)..

Now for the positions...

Anyone wishing to apply for a National position should email the board on wccc@cricketweb.net

Now the selection process will be made by the board.. 1 Manager will be selected for each country and then in a slight twist the selected manager will be allowed to appoint their own co-manager..
The co-manager should have as much say in the selections as the main manager as both will be held responsible if goals arent achieved..

SRI LANKA - Bugssy & chaminda_00
WEST INDIES - Mister Wright & Mr Mxyzptlk
BANGLADESH - MikeW & NZTailender
INDIA - Cloete & thewizard1o1
SOUTH AFRICA - Slats4ever & Mr P
ZIMBABWE - Samuel Vimes & Andyc

Applications are now being accepted, so email your resume now.. we want to know why you should get the job.. All things will be taken into account(managerial record, Submission record etc)

awesome work. this could possibly become one of the showpieces of the WCC season and hopefully really ignite some interest in the off season.

I urge all of you to give it a shot and apply to be a manager. Don't limit yourselves in where you apply. Give yourselves as many avenues as possible ans all international sides will be very competitive.

I'm thoroughly looking forward to this. Whether I'm involved or not, I will be supporting India all the way. And I hope a few of my players are picked, doesn't matter if they aren't of course.

Anyway it will be great following the matches! Best of luck to every manager involved and I urge every manager who isn't picked to follow the results. Even if you don't have any players picked, you can still support a team and follow the competition. Who knows, your next rookie might be an international star!

Applications are being taken now as said above... We want to fill these positions as quickly as possible so if you want to apply get in FAST...

What will happen is we will select 1 person for each country and then they will have a day or 2 to come back to us with their Co-Manager, from there squads will be selected and we will be underway...

Surely some of these teams are going to be very weak. I'm pretty sure Zimbabwe is only represented by the one team, that being Mashonaland- the only team facing relegation in both forms.

Yeah but there are zimbabwean players at other teams as well as rookies who have come through the Zimbabwe system and moved on to other clubs...

Most teams look relatively strong.. Obviously some teams will be stronger but no team is weak...
