Don't think there is anything wrong with either rating Warne in the 8-10th range or rating Gavaskar as high as 6 really.

I have Hammond solidly ahead. Though honestly after Lara/Smith it all get muddy.

I find it hard to separate the three.

Honestly think Chappell most days was the best of the 3, his WSC exploits in the Caribbean was epic.

Hammond never faced pacers close to what Gavaskar did.

Post War, Gavaskar is around 6-7 among batsmen

Don't think there is anything wrong with either rating Warne in the 8-10th range or rating Gavaskar as high as 6 really.

I would like to see either list.

And would challenge the credibility of both, especially the latter though.
