Bu
But gary Sobers average is way better than Richards
Sobers had better pitches for batting at home and I am personally of the belief that Viv faced greater bowling than Sobers, but I completely understand the case for Sobers as well and completely expect Sobers to win the poll considering Sobers was rated as the #3 Batsmen of all time and Viv as #5 just a few years back

you don't really get much than these two, unless you're the Don

Completely biased list.

No way Rahul Dravid is a better batsman than Joe Root and joe root and Kohli are ranked at the same place lol
people are terrified of rating current players high because Kohli has shown what happens if you make early judgement, I think you should ignore the ratings of playing players as things could change quickly

Hard to compare active players with retired players. If Roots average drops below 50 then he will remain below Dravid for most people anyways.

Look at how much Smith and Kohlis average have dropped in the last few years. It shows why you have to wait till careers are over.

with people like Root and Williamson, they can either go up or below, if Root knocks it out of the park in Australia later this year, that will do wonders for his legacy, same way if Williamson Knicks it out of the park in Australia in 2026, or they both could face a big decline and drop off (unlikely tho).

Smith is pretty fairly rated tbh, can't see him going above or below now.

Because there are many undeserving batsmans ranked ahead of many current batsmans.
Tbh most current batsmen are only going to drop or stay the same

Kohli will drop the next time we do the ranking. Williamson will likely fail in Aus and drop a lot as well. Smith’s position won’t change (although he should drop if he continues to struggle). Root will not move up much unless he sustains a 50+ average and scores a couple of tons in Aus.

We should rerun the poll again in like 2027.
