Every draft are just new ideas, otherwise people won't be playing the draft. So, just get in with the idea. We are not going to lose anything even if it goes wrong. But on the time factor, yeah if you didn't have much time, fair enough.

IMO this draft would have been even more interesting if it had a lot more playing and competing and challenging for the handful of ATG players, while right now the challenges are less due to decent supply for the demand.
