David - I have spent some time perusing player stats and season averages and suggest the following squad. Please let me know what you think, either here or by email.

As for the games, I propose that we share the preliminary games with whoever wins the VB Cup having charge for the final if we make it.

OK. I'm just a little confused. We pick a player from each team which was submitted on the lists you sent us, we can pick anyone player of our choice not on the list???

You must firstly pick one player from each side from the two players submitted by each manager. That gives you 10 players.
The other 6 players in the 16 man squad can be chosen by you and do not have to be from that list. Only thing is that you can't choose from those players submitted for the OD squad.

Graham is 100% correct, however a couple of aditions...

- No more than 3 players from 1 team can be selected in each team....
- You MUST have 2 keepers...

Graham - I've had a good look at the players on the list but as yet have been unable to peruse the rest of the players.

I'll go over the rest hopefully tomorrow, if not then on friday..
From what I've seen though your chosen squad looks quite sound.

Only thing is that you can't choose from those players submitted for the OD squad.

Yeah we all need to get togeter and work out a deal between us over the 6 extra players, as who gets who.

And Nibs we need to select the Yorks player between us as well as he failed to submit his list, I know who I want but you need to agree.

Now I saw Graham said about Flower but until David comfirms he wants him too we decided to take him as I never submitted Flower to the OD set up so is openly avalible - But we have a few ideas if Graham wants to chat about it.

Also we picked A Tudor but I relized he was a original submission to the OD set up by Marc, so willing to wait and see but noticed Graham selected Marc's other choice so will wait and see there.

No, because they can pick both - One as a must and one as a part of their 6.

Tudor was a gut choice, his had a badish season but the files will be new and a Bat of 23 - S/R 43 makes him the best AR left that hasn't been snapped up by the OD side etc. And his S/R of 43 makes him one of the best bolwers around still, and I was going to manage him somewhere as Liam wouldn't trade him :saint:

I'm pretty happy with that, point out anything you think was faulty in my choices.. I based most of my decisions on seasonal stats..

Err, with the Flower issue. He's the second best choice for us behind Mane. if he's the best choice for the 4 dayers, then i suppose we should let him go, depends what Graham thinks..

if we need we can fall back on Samaraweera who is the next best based on form.

Graham, I agree, whoever wins the VB cup can lead us to victory in the final too

David - I'm happy to have A.Tudor in place of M.Mendis and only go with the one specialist spinner S.MacGill, but I think we should keep an extra batsman F.Iqbal instead of A.Morris. S.Ganguly has ad a pretty poor season with the bat and I think we need the extra cover.
As for A.Flower, I'm happy to let the FC side have him and for us to go with D.Samaraweera as backup keeper. After all, we're taking A.Tudor of them, so it only seems fair!

OK. Well, do we know what pitches we're playing on? because, as you said, if we dropped Mendis we'd only have one specialist spinner. I think thats probably fine. I see what you mean by saying we should get an extra bat.. so, drop Morris for Iqbal. and if we were to take Tudor, then, hmm, Morris had a better season than Tudor, so, we could always drop Tudor let 4 day take him then we keep Flower? also Morris has proven to be fairly handy with the bat too, so will provide a bit of depth..

In OD, Tudor has had a better season bowling than Morris and I feel that Morris is too expensive. I'm happy to let Flower go to the FC squad in return as we'll probably be using Mane as our keeper anyway. Remember that although we have the choice of having Tudor over the FC squad, we don't have automatic rights to Flower.
Just thought that my solution might be fairest to all UK managers.
