I believe the trading period needs to be open (and a thread on this forum opened to) before u can official trade.
No players can move between clubs during the season, i believe.

Ok Tim,
Toward the end of each season the trade window is opened, this is where you begin to build your team for the following season...
There are no trades done mid season....
The draft is also held at the end of the season, each team has 6 draft picks,(6 Rounds) 1 in each round, the players come from the Academy, as well as the players released by the other clubs....
Basically at the end of the season after trading you keep 10 players or 12 if you decide to keep both your rookies, the draft is then held and after the draft there is 1 more short trading window for any trades to be made before the season commences....
