We have seen him do it in Super Series and in 1st and 2nd match against Australia this year

ummm, no. He bowled one over in the 2nd match because the actual death bowlers got smashed. Cairns and Mills had the job in all 3 matches iirc.

But that's wrong. It's been pretty obvious in this series that Vettori has been taking himself (and Styris) off/finishing his overs just before the slog goes on. The batsman aren't just slogging because Vettori has gone off either. Generally you will see a team increase the pace through an innings, but it won't be unrequited slogging until the last 3 or 4 overs.

after that, it's easily kumble.

No, I just don't think they have the same impact on the game which is obviously because of less variety and not as much turn. In saying that, Vettori would've been my number 6 and H. Singh 7.
