The Time Warp...

Has anyone else been doing the time warp lately with cricinfo live scores?

It gets really infuriating!

The live scores actually go backwards (eg. its 2/100 and then next time you check its 2/94, then 2/90 etc... then it has to work its way all the way back up..)

Is it just me or is it happening to everybody?

It does it when you click refresh sometimes, really annoying, but sometimes they change the scores ie maybe a wicket fell after they had typed it in.

Yeah, because when you click refresh, it either goes forward in the scores or back to what it had been previously. It happens to me when I refresh it before they have had time to update the scores.
It doesn't just stay on the same score, it just HAS to change.

How often have you been refreshing the page?

Happened to me the other day - never noticed it before then.
I got:
after two overs, from Pollock then Ntini, "Hall is back"... "This ball is now 115 overs old!"... Pollock to so-and-so... for 4 delivieries, which were dot, dot, dot, four, then this was erased. Then it was put back with Hall's name replacing Pollock's, with exactly the same deliveries and the same commentary on them.

It's a long-term problem with cricinfo - I've experienced it occasionally for months. Not sure what the cause is - I used to think it was a frame redirect gone wrong, but something I don't remember made me think that wasn't the issue. Haven't got a clue really, but it's a pain when it happens.

If you're an Indian supporter it's worth going to cricbuzz - otherwise, you have to settle for live scores elsewhere, and miss out on the commentary for a little while, until cricinfo is fixed again. It doesn't usually last for too long.
