Hammond.

Immense peer reputation, averaged 60+ before the war (post war isn't valid), didn't face ATG pacers but makes up for that deficiency via his skill on sticky wickets which rivalled Headley and Sutcliffe and so forth, he's also universally agreed superiors of those who did face and make tons of runs against Lindwall/Miller ATG duo. Also, arguably the greatest player of spin ever after Lara and Bradman.

Gavaskar, the only ATG test opener in the past 70 years. Does anyone have more 100s against ATG pacers than this guy? Also, an ATG player of spin.

Sunil Gavaskar has 11 centuries against the likes of Roberts, Holding, Marshall, Garner, Hadlee, Imran AND 17 if you include Willis, Botham & Thomson.
Sachin has 11 against ATG pacers too, 19 if you include all ATG bowlers (Warne and Murali).
19 100s against ATG bowlers is absolutely incredible tbh.

Pretty sure the whole point of this forum was to have all the PC’s in one spot and so end up with fewer to 0 repeat threads.

Since 1930; 34 fast bowlers have taken 100+ wickets at an average below 25.

Centuries against those fast bowlers

Hutton : 3 (Miller, Lindwall, Davidson)

Sobers : 9 (Fazal, Davidson, Trueman)

Gavaskar* : 12(Holding, Garner, Marshall, Hadlee, Imran)

*including 2 against Marshall in 1978

Richards : 5 (Lillee, Hadlee, Imran)

Sachin : 11 (Donald, Pollock, McGrath, Akram, Waqar, Shoaib, Walsh, Steyn)

Lara : 8 (McGrath, Pollock)

@sayon basak
Don’t ask why I didn’t include the spinners

Since Shaoib is included, the number for Sachin is 12 I believe.
And I will ask, where are the spinners.
