Hey Everyone

While GB was running the games tonight, something was said and made me think about possible changes to the WCC... I had a word about them with GB and a couple were scraped there and then, but was intreasted in one, I now would like your opinions on the matter and see where we end up

Basically what was first suggested was to rather than allow 6 new teams replace them with international/all-star squads.

However a few problems were in that idea so I amened it to this.

Have internation/all-star squads that play games every ?? (TBD) week, where the appointed managers select a side. (this could be say Aus, Eng etc Or say each manager gets say 2 teams from each div.. and can select from them. While the players are picked they will be unavalible for club selection, remeber this wouldn't be every week (I might limit the amount from one club, incase to many are picked etc)

International, would be picking players only from the WCC, all rookies country is determind from their 1st club... ie B.Allen (Kent) would become English etc

Interesting idea, but I don't think it would work. Its a bit weird to me.

In soccer, we often hear about the club/country battle. That would surely happen here. If coach were to lose players to this squad, when they were approaching important matches, I am sure it would piss them off. Then again, it could happen, if players were available for Club first and not country.

You would have to prioritise, and surely club would come first. That is what this comp. this about I thought. World Club Cricket. Not International/All Star Cricket, where suddenly these sides take priority.

You could have some kind of All Star Weekend (which I think already exists).

It aimed at being fun, not serious

* Club would get the choice in a big matches (or up to the managers to decide)

* W CLUB C - If you selected the All-Star one it would be.

* All-Star thing is already going on, but during the last off-season, both me and GB got verbal ear bashing of continual "When does the new season start" "I wanna play... how much longer do I have to wait" etc so doing this we could cut out the All-Star series and make the off season much shorter, therfore back to our cricket alot quicker....

* Also remember it would only be like every 3 weeks or so, so youwould only lose like 2 players for a match.
Like I said it's only an idea so your votes count.....If you don't like it fair enough

what countries do the rookies come from???

i dont want any of my star players gone, esp with Div 3 this could cause major upests with big teams like Myself, Karnakata and Tassie losing more players than the other teams, the same thing would happen in other divisions but to a lesser extent i thihk and would even up the competition which is not fair to people iwth better teams so i dont think this should happen, maybe when the new teams data is done (i will get onto mine tomorrow you can run a mini league with those teams to keep them happy

Sure it would be fun. But most people here would agree that, the proformance of their club side is the most important thing to them. So if they are weakened by some international or all star game, they wouldn't neccesarily be happy. Sure you could say, this league is a fun league, but nobody enjoys defeat, and when the odds of defeat is increased by something that does matter to them, it would not be too pleasing at all.

Fair point and that's why i say again it was only (and still is an idea)

You don't like it and either does Paid or Age.... a couple more and i'll scrap the whole idea

I'm afraid that I have voted against it too. Too tricky and I think most of us are here to play the club stuff. keep the all star stuff at the end of the season while the draft in being run.

The idea should be scrapped. My selfish opinion is that i want my players available for me every week (except for injury), so we should keep it as it is. At the end of the season during the trading period and stuff we can have all these international or all star matches. To tell u the truth i dont think i would really follow the all star series if it was run during the season, like at the moment i hardly pay attention to div 1 and 2.
