Stumped!

International Coach
Ah apparently I've managed to injure Steve Ludlow. I guess he took part in 76 balls in my bot-bashing SOD but seems a bit much considering he was at above 60%... Also rather annoying I wasn't notified of it, but it's only 2 weeks, thank goodness. Only one non-bot game in that time (which is the least worrying of misses, because even if he wasn't injured I'd likely have rested him anyway considering condition. And it's a Dev dead rubber, and I've got 12 Dev players so I can leave out one), so not bad.

Shame for the potential IGT though. He's 21, a 30/45 pacer + late bloomer. The best of my original squad. Oh, and in his extertions in that SOD game he became the first AXI player to 100 wickets. He achieved it in 68 games at 19 per wicket.

And yes, I'm paying attention to the games, just not posting about them yet. Top-order collapse for Moooo. I'm a chance vs FHK here, if I can play out Lai & Lester on a very dry but very flat away pitch.

The youngest FHK XI are struggling. 109 not enough runs. Gonna take something special to prevent the upset!
Nope, good ol Chunky hitting the winning runs (presumably before rushing to the pavilion for some grub)

Dynamo Morpork smashed Winton (twelve sixes!) by 39 runs, the match vs FHK becomes a virtual semifinal now.

Interesting day of games. FHK dropped the CWC2 game to Honest Hunks - outrated them by 6K, but the lack of experience showed. Also had a lot of overs from kids who frankly aren't ready to be bowling at this level. The Hunks did too tho - they used 10 bowlers - so we really should have cashed in with the bat.

ZCC's mostly-Dev XI smashed Inner Western Wombats, with Danial Ahsan finally scoring his first senior-cricket 50, and the turning it into his first ever career century! 264 might be our highest ever T20 score as well. Ridiculous batting effort. Couple of Wombat bowlers ending with economies in the 20s.

Dynamo Morpork picked up a really good win over Winton CC, taking them to 2nd place in the points table, while Schmaltzberg climbed to 4th with a nervy 4 wicket win over Picasso Moon.

Then onto the non-CWC friendlies, both the Dev format. FHK beat ataraXIa comfortably, mainly thanks to a wonderful 88 from Nathan Law opening the batting. He and Agnes Chow put on 100 for the 1st wicket, setting us up for 238/8 in 40 overs. This proved to be plenty as our spinners combined for 17.1-1-66-6 in friendly home conditions. Andy Li the surprise package, with 3/15 in his 4. Joshua Wong put in a pretty good spell too, averaging 146 clicks and 7.8 bowling quality during his 3/23 in 6 overs.

The ZCC got a morale-boosting win over the Orangutans as well, beating them by 8 wickets at The Merry Arboreal CG after losing the toss. Bowling first we kept them to 162/9 on a flat but worn wicket, Danial Ahsan riding the confidence of his century earlier in the day to nip out 3/26 wickets in his 5 overs - his career best bowling figures in Dev cricket! Our young spin attack had a good day too, being both economical and penetrative, and Jamal Madani had a good day behind the sticks with 4 catches and a stumping. 'Grubs' then hammered 75* off 74 to get us over the line. The former Dynamo is shaping up to be a key player for us in the CWC3. Garner scored a nice 44 as well. Solid performance overall.

Intra-Dynamo match started at Schmaltzberg Mining Inc. The hosts have assembled a 45k rated XI with a few ex-Morpork lads.

Morpork won the toss, chose to bat, bit wild from young captain Lickley so far in the strong winds. 13 wides top scoring, Morpork are 33/1 after eight overs.

Morpork: Mthabela+, McGrath, Marita, Rowan*, Kotze, Fouche jr., van Heerdens, Clarke, Judge, Saleem, Fox
Schmaltzberg: Kurusumuttu, Goonewardene, Msomi, Pewar, Manning+, Buckland, Owen, Scott, Ancell, Ndlovu, Lickley*

McGrath saw off the new ball only to push leg spinner Scott straight down mid off. A gruelling 19 off 63. Very hard scoring on the dry, worn wicket.

Morpork has rebuilt, Marita and Rowan teeing off against Ndlovu/Kurusumuttu. The pure pace not really helping as it's just sitting up for the batters now

i wonder how this happened

(generally fielding improves pretty quickly with IGT and so by the time these lads are 20-21 you should be fine but still lmao)
Yeah. Pretty much. It is probably one of my biggest issues with the squad. My bowling quality is not bad but there is so many drops. So much so that when looking at players on the market if they don’t have a fielding potential of at least 12 I won’t bid on them. It’s got into my head now.
