Clean bowled him not too long after.
Bowling has been tight, Ahsan grinding it out. 100 up with around 12 overs to go. I don't think we're getting 200 but 180 would be competitive

163/7 it is. Not terrible. It's runs on the board. Ahsan batted 74 balls for just 38 runs, he's now got a lot of bowling to do as well. Grubs scored 47 off 79 and Garner a useful 49* off just 46. No one else scored more than 8 lol.

Got rekt with 8.3 overs to spare.
Spinners went for 92 runs in 15.3 overs with just the one wicket. Not the right conditions for them, not enough runs on the board.
Ramalingam ended up only bowling 6 overs and went wicketless despite bowling really well (avg quality 8.5). In hindsight I shouldn't have saved 2 of his overs for the death if I planned on batting first. Needed wickets up-front to win.
Ahsan was tired from his batting efforts and bowled 5 overs for 27 runs, young Taufeeq Bashir went better with 1/21 in his 5. Similar quality of bowling from both.
Hughes was unmovable, 74* off 100, while Marita tucked into our middle-overs bowling with 63* off 46.
Back to back losses for the Dev boys against Winton CC and Dynamo Morpork now. Not boding well for the CWC Season 3. We've got a month to find a winning formula with this lot, time to schedule some more friendlies and experiment a bit more.

Think we'd better keep scores in a spreadsheet as before and move the tracking off stumped. I found it pretty hard to use the friendly comp stats interface anyway.

If I can get some volunteers to help maintain the spreadsheet then sure.
Either that or I write up some code on Excel that let's me copy and paste scorecards into it and automatically adds up player stats.
ZCC have planned 2 Dev friendlies vs FHK at 5DNOL over this weekend. Spin friendly conditions, will be interesting to see if Chester, Thakar and Younis can bowl us to a win somehow.

In a secondary friendly Dev match, the MTOs managed to score 130 against Dynamo Schmaltzberg. A strong early half of the innings ending in a disappointing collapse, being bowled out in the 36 over.
Schmaltzberg currently 6 without loss at the end of the 4th over. Sensibly, taking it slow against the low target.

I forgot again to post on Schmaltzberg v Orangutans. . Maybe you should start that affiliate in Zimbabwe, cos that first lot you drew was bad.
