How will they remain competitive if Gayle, Pollard, Russell, and Bravo all move on after this series?

Lewis, Pooran and Hetmeyer are fine, but are there three other good T20 bats under the age of 30?

Loads of talent, not worried about that tbh. If anything we need some of our young 4 day quicks to learn to adapt to T20 as the young white ball bowling options look limited.

WI should stop playing International cricket. They are good for IPL like showbiz but don't have cricketing acumen for the International stage in any format.

It is a bit of a knee-jerk in the context of T20 WC to call the current champions beyond redemption.

The West Indies are fine. The WICB isn't great and there are numerous flaws in their setup that other WI fans here can tell you all about, but they're definitely better than boards like the SLCB or BCB. They've been more successful at international level lately than those nations too.

Hmm.. you seem to make lot of interpretations on your own. Your first assumption was that I don't want cricket to expand. Now you have come up with "WI should be stripped of international status".

Secondly, I am entitled to my opinion just as you are. So, if we go by your argument (although I didn't say this), yes dropping non-performing nations to another tier is absolutely fine by me.

Regarding kenya and zim - terrible or not, these are countries whose development in cricket would really warm my heart.

In summary - your argument is that "West Indies are fine" while I am saying that they are very very far from fine and after 25 + years of watching them, their trajectory of failures & below mediocre performances they remain the same with no discernable improvement. So let us let this debate rest at that, otherwise this will be an never-ending debate.
