Who has the more impressive home record as ARs? Please factor in pitches and opposition.

Both batsmen had strong batting support in their careers. Both had strong bowling attacks (one clearly stronger of course)

With that being said

Sobers at home 4075 @ 66.80
Other home batsmen (1-6) 15964 @ 43.98
Away batsmen (1-6) 23383 @ 42.44

Kallis at home 7035 @ 56.73
Other home batsmen (1-6) 25964 @ 37.57
Away batsmen (1-6) 29165 @ 30.16

Interesting. Hard to say who is better as ARs.

International Coach
The primary discipline for both is batting though, hence much more important and impactful.
Sobers was a genuine, leading bowler for WI over a good chunk. In fact, it won't be wrong to say he was at times their best and leading bowler. Kallis never took that bowling load.

Sobers did average like 10 more though. It's a tough one.
It definitely is quite close but Kallis was the best batsman on his team at home by far despite playing the longest. In matches involving him, Amla is the next best, avging 46.
Sobers was the best overall but in matches involving himself, is outperformed by Rowe, Davis, Kallicharan and Walcott (they avg in the 70s/80s) although they each played in only 25-30% of Sober's games. However, it shows that in my multiple periods, other's were doing better than him in a way, no one was to Kallis.
