NOt a good game for the bowlers.

The Western Warriors scored quite hevily against us in teh first innings, Brett Lee the best of the bowlers taking 5/60, apart from that the bowlers really got hammered.

Our batting was solid in response, 60 from POnting and 50 from Bevan gave us some solidity and a platform for Phillipson and Rafique to attack from.

OUr bowlers were worse in the 2nd innings, Laxman making 142and a number of other batsmen posting scores. Noffke was the best of a poor bunch taking 3/89.

The Chase was on, again however the openers failed to fire, Punter again fired but noone else got more than a start. 9/297 was the final score meaning the game ended in a draw. hopefully the bowlers have learnt that they cannot take wickets for granted in this competition
