Shoaib Malik bowling in 3rd ODI, despite not being cleared

Did anyone else notice that ****'s decided to take a risk by bowling Shoaib, and dropping Hazeez for Younis Khan. What does this say about the ICC's new process when teams can just blatantly ignore it?

No, they're not ignoring it. The problem is with his doosra and googly, and he's not bowling those, so there's no risk.

as some1 said, it's those two particular deliviries... and even then i believe he is allowed to bowl them, but if he get's called again, he will get a 12 month ban on his bowling. this is how i understand it neway

He has a doosra and a googly? He's an offspinner...that doesn't make sense. The offbreak googly is the doosra

NO
the problem identified in the report was with his regulatoin off-spinner as well as his doosra.

I wonder who would India feel if Malik throws in next match and takes 2-3 wkts??? How has the guy been allowed to resume throwing is beyond me?

look mate if he was throwing hel get called just like harbhajan did
Nevertheless, it is a pretty damning reflection on the ICC if indeed he has been forbidden from bowling at all and he is still doing it.

Did'nt harbie say he will carry on bowling the doosra even though it is outlawed by ICC as a chuck? so why should'nt malik bowl..

I'm not entirely sure, but heres how I think it goes...

Malik has been tested already I presume, and his deliveries found to be exceeding the 15 degree tolerance limit....

Harbhajan on the other hand, has only been reported, and hence can continue to bowl anything within the duration of the 21 days period between being called and tested in the lab. (remember, he has not yet been proven by the experts of delivering his deliveries with more than 15 degrees flex .)

The protests against Malik being given a bowl do not make sense to me unless this is how things stand.

You could be right,. Hasnt Harbie been called before and if so did he not have the bio-mech tests done?

I doubt Pakistanis would risk Malik bowling if his stock ball was also under suspicion. They would not want him to lose confidence and put extra pressure on his batting so it doesnt make sense that they would allow him to bowl knowing he could be called..

Yeah, he has been called before, but his deliveries were found to be within the 15 degree limit.
