I like Shiv, but he's arguably the least deserving member of the 10,000 runs club. He averaged in the low 40s for most of his career, and only started averaging in the 50s in a brief batting friendly period, and when he dropped down the order and hid.

He's arguably more difficult to remove than Dravid - and one of the most difficult batsmen to dismiss - but Dravid has many more meaningful knocks, and had a much bigger positive influence on surrounding teammates. If Chanders had moved up the order and batted with or above Sarwan when Lara quit, he'd probably have a reputation akin to Cook's, but he didn't.

Dravid, meanwhile, was a giant shield. When batting at 2, 3 or 4, he cushioned everyone batting around him. IMO he's in the top ten of all the "gritty", "block, leave and score slowly" batsmen (Steve Waugh, Cook, Kallis etc). Chanders is a bit slightly below these guys.
