Fredericks is a bit underrated. He has a good away record and he must have been an exceptionally talented player of pace to score 169 off 145 v peak Lillee&Thommo at Perth. Just could do with a few more hundreds and more longevity. He got out in the 80s a lot. I guess Haynes' emergence spelled the end for him rather than being past it as he was still churning the runs out in his final series.

I would take Fredericks over Haynes.
