Unfortunately Glamorgan suffered its first defeat for a few weeks going down fighting to Blewy's South Australia.

Things started well for the visitors when Wasim Akram removed Blewett with the 1st ball of the innings. Parkin then ripped out Fitzgerald with his second ball and SA was 2/0. Miller only contributed 16 before Parkin removed him too and Glamorgan was well on top, 3/23. The party ended there as Lehmann and Harris put on 178 in quick time with Harris getting 108 off 94 balls. Lehmann ended unbeaten on 114 as SA amasses 6/279. Dale with 2/30 was the pick while Cosker got smashed taking 0/80.

Glamorgan tried hard but SA was able to take wickets at regular intervals though Dale batted extremely well hitting an unbeaten 88 off 66 balls. Maynard with 47 and Newell with 37 also contributed but the side fell short, 7/239. Gillespie 2/32 was the pick.

The boys tried to find some action in Adelaide after the game and were sadly disappointed as everywhere appeared close and it was a Friday night. Better luck next week.

Yorkshire v Warwickshire

Yorkshire has now won 4 on the trot being one of the form sides in the compitition. After almost certain relegation they are only one win away from certain staying up in the division(i didnt know how else to say it).
A bowlers day as the only person to actually hit a score was R.Blakey with 65. Yorkshire was bowled out for 135 and looked bad but as in most other games the bowling was superb and bowled out the Warwick men for 82 the third lowest total against Yorkshire this season.
Next week they play Tamil Nadu and look as if they may lose against the cup favourites but Yorkshire faithful have to get behind the team as they have been playing well.

Yet another drop back to the planet for Tassie.

After being on top of the world after being Somerset (and the map being turned upside down), they lost again by a large margin.

After starting well and getting to 3-142, they fell apart AGAIN losing 7-41 to be all out for 183.

Kent batted really well and got the runs in the 35th over after only losing two wickets. Wright again got wickets, so he has got five in the past two weeks.

TAS 183AO D.Hills 50, J.Cox 42, M.Ealham 2-31.
Kent 184-2 B.Lara 86, R.Key 77*, D.Wright 2-26

MOM: B.Lara
Encouragement award: D.Hills
Drinking award: D.DiVenuto (After getting run out for a golden, he got really really drunk, he might miss next week with blood posioning.)

nsw played wa and where looking for back to back wins and maybe close that gap that qld have put on the boys in blue. nsw batting first got off to a terrible start and where 1 - 18 with haddin struggling.when c richards went it was 2 - 42 and it bought together m waugh and m bevan. they put on a good partnership but when m waugh fell for 44 (67) the game was in the balance. nsw 3 - 101. s waugh next to fall for 29 (26) and s lee & m clarke both going for single figure scores. nsw 6 - 199. bevan the next to go when the score was 7 - 201. m bevan yet another solid score and showing why he is the bets one day bat in the world, scoring 76 (97). the innings was finished by m higgs 7 (18) and b lee 30 (16).
total score 7 - 238
pick of the bowlers was
D.Martyn 10 2 20 2
B.Williams 10 1 44 3
it was going tobe a close game. could was chase or nsw bowl them out.
nsw got of to a great start with lee trapping langer infront early for 5 wa 1 - 5. wa really never got going and when gilchrist went for 6 (4) wa where in a little trouble 2 - 11.s katich was really the only batsmen to get going with a superb knock of 51(48)wa loosing wickets staedily and at one stage where 6 - 114. but a slight wag by the tail seen them fall with in 19 runs of the nsw innings. S.Meuleman 37 (51) K.Harvey 29 (63). nsw getting home. the pcik of the nsw bowlers where
B.Lee 7 0 42 4
S.MacGill 10 2 36 5
man of the match was b lee

a solid performance for nsw a week out from the ca cup semi final.
nsw will be in camp with all doors locked to media and public. the side will be announced wednesday night with the side flying out thursday morning.
there is very much a team focus on reaching the ca cup final.

Queensland vs Lancashire

Well Another win buy Queensland Puts them in an unbeatable Position on the table

Queensland Batting first and hit 9/229 of their 50 overs not a very big total but with the bowling attack that the bulls have it would be very hard to get the total the stand out batters were S.Law with 74 of 81 balls and A.Bichel with an unbeaten 43 of 60 balls....

In reply Lancashire were bowled out for 188 in the 41 over..A.Bichel was the best of the bowlers with 3/40 of 8 overs and A.Dale back in the queensland,N.Hauritz and S.Muller all picking up 2 wickets each.......

The best batter was G.Lloyd with 43 of 39 balls...

Queensland Wins By 41 Runs
Man of The Match:A.Bichel :D :D :D

Blewy

Cricketer Of The Year
Well after a week of slagging from fellow D2 managers including the opposing Manager, SA manager Brendon Goff was confident his team would prove their abilities...

Glamorgan were confident coming off a few good wins in a row and started accordingly, taking the wickets of Blewett and Fitzgerald both for 0.....
Miller departed for 16 and SA were in dire straights at 3/23... But the party was just beginning....
Lehmann and Harris began to pummell the Glamorgan attack to all parts...

178 Runs later the partnership was broken with Harris falling for a brilliant better than a run a ball 100, The party continued until SA's overs eventually finished with the Redbacks racking up an impressive 6/279, with Lehmann finishing unbeaten on 114...
In reply the Glmaorgan team could not get into a ryhthm losing wickets at consistent intervals to never really get into the chase...

They eventually ran out of overs with the scoer on 7/239.. Dale the only man showing any reasistance finishing on 88*...

Some good figures for the home team with Gillespie and Blewy picking up 2 wickets...
SA winning by 40 runs and securing that promotion place for another 2 weeks....

Man of the Match :- Darren Lehmann

Lancashire v Queensland.

Lancashire's brave challenge for the title came to an end as Queensland completed the double over them.
Batting first Queensland made 229/9 with S.Law(74), A.Bichel(43no), M.Hayden(41) and J.Maher(36) doing the damage.
All of the Lancashire bowlers toiled well with J.Wood picking up 3/34 in his first game of the season and K.Hogg producing his usual economical stint with 2/44.
In reply, Lancashire fell 41 runs short at 188 all out. G.Lloyd(43), T.Roberts(39), R.Dravid(28) and A.Flintoff(28) had their side looking good at 159/4 after being 18/2 early on, but the innings collapsed dramatically to end in the 42nd over.Of the Queensland bowlers, A.Bichel with 3/40, S.Muller with 2/35, A.Dale with 2/39 and M.Kasprowicz with 2/26 all did their bit.
