well im here with bugssy malone the nsw blues coach, bugssy happy with the win.
bugs: yes thanks mate, yer look i am happy with the win. no game is tuff and although the result pretty much one sided i still have some very valuable players out of form, so we need to address that and very quickly.
sports 2nite: yes bevan and richards batting well but the others a little lack lustered.
bugs: yes thats right, we have on hand a total of 9 - 13 inetrnational players yet at the moment with the runs only a couple are scoring so some need to show that they are worthy or there will be some drastic measures, i can assure u, but over all very happy to get the win after last weeks dissapointing loss to the hands of wa. but the boys done well, bevan 118 (99) and richards 102(101) with magnificent tonnes and macgills unbelievable bowling figures
of 3 overs 2 maidens 6 - 4
mcgrath also bowling well with 3 overs 2 maidens 2 - 2
next week it starts all up again
bugs: yes we have our 1st round of the ca cup and its guna be tuff against arch rivals mumbai, which will be a hard game. but should be good and the boys are looking forward to the game, being a knockout comp i think u will see a few stars put there hands up for a change.

2-83.Hamish Marshall strode out to the middle and unlike his broter,took to the Parlane style of batting cautiously taking the score to 134 before the in-form Parlane slipped in the grass and got Run-out for a patient 69.this was to be the last wicket to fall in the innings as bailey scored a fairly brisk 22 to take the score to 208-3 of the quota of 50 overs.Marshall finishing with 64.

) his team had weathered the storm and the game was theirs for the taking if they commited themselves.
Hills,like J marshall,deciding that he was gonna get out there and blast everything...until he ran into Yovich.Yovich castling him for 14 off 12 deliveries.Cox like Parlane was cautious and an out of form Ponting blossomed in his company,scoring off some scintillating drives and mighty pulls and hooks until his natural technical weakness,his lock in the front foot showed its ugly head again,Styris the beneficiery as Anita Hore collapsed to his charms and gave Ponting out leg before.score was on 2-55.7 balls later,Tuffey got a nick from the man with an unreadable name,Kremerskothen's bat and it carried to Bradburn at first slip,3-56.Robbie Hart called out his spinners and it paid huge dividends.DiVenuto decieved by one that went away from Matt Hart and heard his death rattle for 2,4-66 and ND were scentingg blood.but Bradburn and hart though they kept things tight had to wait till yovich came back to get the break...Yovich bowling a wicket maiden ,getting rid of the dangerous Cox LBW,Anita Hore being a real asset to the ND boys.5-103.on the same score but the next over,marsh bat-padding to bailey,6-103 and the fans were going wild.Tubb and Pinnington added 21 runs before Anita Hore struck again,Pinnington gone LBW and 7-124 the game was in the bag.but Tubb and wright werent gonna give up so easily as they took the score to 151,when wright went for a non-existant bye,Aldridge flickingng the bails off with a kick of the ball,more world cup fever,()and the final nail on the coffin was hit.next ball,aldridge bowled an absolute beauty that Denton could do nothing but nick it to Hart.ND on a hattrick.Saker needlessly shuffling way outside offstump and left the stumps almost invitingly to be uprooted by Aldridge,and the match was over.Northern Districts won by 57 runs and they completed a win hattrick and a hattrick of wickets.Hamish Marshall was deservedly Man of the Match for his sturdy knock.
Northern Districts are now sitting pretty at the top of the table and together with QLD are the only unbeaten teams in the competition.

Warwickshire continued to stun the world, not least their own manager as they despatched Western Australia with 7 overs to spare. Star of the match with the ball was undoubtedly young Jamie Troughton, who took 3-22 off his 10 overs, ripping out the International trio of Gilchrist, Martyn and Goodwin with his slow left arm spin.
On paper, the strength of WA, with 7 International players against just the 4 from Warwickshire should have been enough, but team work counted for more than individual flair, as Betts and Carter both conceded less than 3 and a half an over, and the bowling was so tight that Dougie Brown went unused as Western Australia struggled to 163-7 off their 50 overs, despite a fine unbeaten 72 from Katich.
When they came to bat Angel had them reeling at 1-2 early in the 4th over, but that man Troughton joined Ostler in adding a crucial 76, making 37 off 57 balls.
Then another collapse left them 87-5 with a lot to still do, but Brown made up for his inactivity with the ball, by sharing a crucial stand of 51 with the in-form Penney, Brown's share was only 13, but it allowed Penney to guide the Bears home with 55* off 70 balls, finishing 165-7 off 43 overs.
Man of the Match Troughton just pipped the magnificent Angel, who took 3-17 off 9 overs, but lacked the back-up provided by the Warwickshire seamers.

LANCASHIRE DESTROY MUMBAI IN INDIA!
Lancs rebounded from their devastating home loss to Qld by travelling to India and securing a valuable win over Mumbai.
With a much rearranged bowling attack, selected to make use of a pitch heavily favouring spin, Lancs scored 310/5 batting first with A.Swann (99), R.Dravid (92no), N.Fairbrother (50) and G.Lloyd (47) leading the way. None of the Mumbai bowlers managed to pick up more than a solitary wicket.
The new look Lancs bowling attack of Hogg and Flintoff backed by the three spinners Yates, Schofield and Maiden then restricted the Mumbai batsmen to 225/4 with a marvellous display of precision bowling under pressure.
A.Dani (54), W.Jaffer (51), S.Tendulkar (44no), V.Kambli (38) and A.Muzumdar (30no) all acquitted themselves well for Mumbai, but none were able to dominate the Lancs attack.
Flintoff with 2/47, Hogg with 1/18, Yates with 1/44 and Maiden with 0/43 all impressed with tight bowling efforts.
Lancs manager GrahamB could hardly contain his delight at the conclusion of the game, running out to embrace his men as they headed off the ground. The Lancashire bid to become world club champions is back on track! 8D

Hampshire got off to the worst possible start when they knew they would need to set QLD a stiff target to stand any chance of registering their first victory of the season. Jason Laney departed for a duck, then Neil Johnson was out for 2 and it was 14-2. John Francis didn't last long, and when star batsman John Crawley failed to trouble the scorers, Hants were in deep trouble at 56-4. It was soon 69-5 as Nic Pothas lasted only 6 balls. Hampshire were in trouble of self-destructing, but Derek Kenway finally offered some support to captain Robin Smith, who compiled a vital 60. There wasn't much batting to follow though, and Hampshire were dismissed for just 149, having batted a mere 31 overs. Hopes was the pick of the bowlers with 4-29.
In reply, QLD lost Martin Love second ball. He had deposited his first in the stands! Hayden and Law managed just 12 each, and when Symonds went for a single it was 50-4 and Hants had their tails up. Wade Secombe compiled a patient 23, but it was Jimmy Maher, with 74* (81 balls) who did the damage, as QLD knocked off the target with 18 overs though just 4 wickets to spare - Neil Johnson removing both Seccombe and Bichel before Dale scored the winning boundary. Young Tremlett was a plus for the home side, collecting 2-21, but it's starting to look like a long season for the south coast side... :undecided:

GLAMORGAN FORFEIT THROWS CLOUD OVER TAUNTON
Somerset picked up the points in bizarre fashion at the County Ground as Glamorgan were disqualified and saw their manager sacked by the WCCC.
Glamorgan had brushed aside Somerset for 135, only Andy Flower's 63 and Keith Parsons' 20* showing any resistance. Glamorgan reached the target with 7 wickets in hand with 24 overs to spare, but then..
Glamorgan were forced to forfeit and manager Craig182 was forced to leave the WCCC. Rumours are still circulating about the incident, and it may or may not have involved farmyard animals and the Severn Bridge.

6th June : Mumbai :After being underground for 5 days after their 3rd round loss to the Lancs at home Mumbai coach sriram K finally mustered up enough courage to face the media today.Describing the home teams performance as 'shameful' he said the bowlers ought to be ashamed of themselves.In what the experts thought would be a rank turner the mumbai spin duo of Powar and Kulkarni managed only 2 wickets giving 151 in 20 overs.The coach defended the batting performance by saying the spinners threw it all away,chasing 300+ is never easy and no wonder we didnt reach the target.The experts did question the defensive batting tactics adopted by the openers but coach refused any comment saying it was just a plain bad day at the office for the bowlers.
