david woods here at international airport in mascot and here with me is nsw blues manager bugssy malone and captain steve waugh.

fella's not the desired road trip,
bugssy: no dave it was not, we had a very good preperation for this game, and at one stage thought we did enough hodling wa to 216, but again accept for bevan and s lee our batsmen didnt do enough to win us the game, which is very dissapointing as we have a star studded line up.
steve waugh went on to say, look the boys just have not hit our straps and we need to start playing well before the qualitys sides like qld and mumbai streak to far away from us.

look we played poorly but take nothing away from w.a. they bowled and fielded well, so thank you

more questions later on in the week

thanks

well there u have it , nsw blues manager bugssy not overall happy with his teams performance and im david woods saying good bye from mascot airport

It has been a major concern over stress during jobs as manager...last season it was Gerrard Houllier who got a heart attack during half time...now it was ND manager TBY who got a "hart" attack at halftime and was in the hospital in the ICU from the heart ache of the first half of the match....but being the true fighter he was  he got up and got to the press conference once he knew ND had won

Press : How Are you???
TBY : fine quite fine.....(ouch!)

press :wt do u think of the perfomance...
TBY :im not impressed at robbie for favouring his brother over our strike bowler :(! (yes ill keep moaning about it)if ald had bowled it wouldve been an easier game

Press :wt do u think of worcestershire..
TBY :well their manager has been going on a lot about his teams chances and i dont feel theyve done fair justice to the claim....it was a one man show..Hick with that amazing innings which was overshadowed by Maher but with bigger teams come bigger things :D so they should learn to gel as a unit before theyre in strong contention

Press : wt about ND's batting display???
TBY : does one get TV in ICU???ill watch the video again and tell ya bye cya

Lancashire fans were hoping for another impressive showing from their team as the mighty Queensland side came into town.
But after the Queensland batsmen smashed the much vaunted bowling attack of Hogg, Martin, Chapple, Flintoff and Schofield all round the park to amass 409/8, they were left in stunned amazement.
The Queensland openers, Hayden and Maher, led the way , both scoring centuries. Hayden scored 121 and Maher 149, the first two wickets both falling at 256! Symonds chimed in with 51.
Best of the Lancashire bowlers was Flintoff with 1/50 off 10 overs. Compare that with Chapple who went 0/107 from 10!

The Lancashire cause was realistically a lost one after this blitzing.
It was to their credit though that the Lancashire batsmen were able to score 302/4 in reply with Lloyd (81no) topscoring. The Queensland bowlers found the pitch to be just as unrewarding as had the home bowlers, but they were able to keep a lid on the scoring rate.
Chasing a total like 409 is a hell of a lot harder than scoring them to set a chase.

Manager GrahamB said that Hayden and Maher were just amazing and that his bowlers would need to pick up the shattered pieces of their confidence quickly if they were to have any hope of competing with Mumbai away from home.

ANOTHER SHARATH TON AS SOMERSET CRASH AT HOME

It's now pretty much 1200 runs scored in two games involving Somerset after a thriller at the County Ground.

It was the top order that blew it for the hosts as they struggled to 174-7, only Andy Flower passing 30, but then Ian Blackwell (103) and Keith Dutch (56) put on 102 for the eighth wicket and a useful 14* from Andy Caddick saw Somerset to 301 all out.

However, Tamil Nadu's top order is a fearsome proposition and Sharath's unbeaten 129, supported by consistent knocks down the order, led TN to a 4 wicket win with one over to spare, despite Somerset's man-of-the-match Blackwell taking 3-36. Andy Caddick must take a lot of responsibility after his 0-60 off 6 overs.

However, Somerset do seem to be strong all round and, as soon as the Northern Districts bubble bursts, should return to the title race.

You'll have to wait for someone to drop out first..

You can get the software from http://www.jcole.freeserve.co.uk/vc/ to see what it's run on, and then it's a case of getting your head round the ASCII code files to edit team data. That's where programming is an advantage.

I've managed to create CGS U13 and CTCC U17 Team data which is fairly evenly matched as well - so that can be interesting to use with it. Still the occasional strange occurrence with it. Neil Pickup 4-0... Ian Marris 9-61... Paul Bramwell 183*...

Kent vs Tasmania @ Canterbury

After last weeks fireworks at Tamil Nadu's ground, Kent were hoping to get their first win of the WCC and cause an upset agaist one of the Div 2 title contenders Tasmania.

Kent won the toss and decided that they would have a bowl.

Kent's bowlers made early in-roads on the strong Tasmaina's batting lineup leaving the vistors in an bad situation at 44/4, J Cox and RT Ponting both falling very cheaply for 3 and 15 respectivly. However MJ Di Venuto 114 (111) and DJ Marsh 53 (59) both dug in and bulit a fine partership but they fell just short of the 100 p/ship taking the score to a more reasonable 139/5, however TA Pinnington 6 (20)and SB Tubb 0 (2) didn't really trouble the scorers and both falling to the medium/swing of M.Ealham. DG Wright the only other player to get going scored a quick fire 25*(24).

Tasmaina Total (from 50 overs) 251 - 8

Kent's bowlers bowled well but lost their way slightly during the counter attack from the MJ Di Venuto and DJ Marsh partnership, however very good tight spells from
M.Fleming 10 - 3 - 30 - 2
M.Ealham 10 - 4 - 35 - 3
helped to keep the overall total down.

A good effort from the visiters after such a poor start.

Kent's reply got of to a uneasy start as both D.Fulton and B.Lara fell early to leave the score on 64/2. But after the early disapointment Kent's R.Key 103 (100) and J.Hockley 67 (64) took a liking to the Tasmania attack and scored both freely all around the wicket and took the partership to 128 before DJ Saker struck. DJ Saker also took the wicket of Key shortly after reaching three figures. But even with both batsman gone Kent never looked in trouble with M.Walker 27* (24) M.Ealham 19* (25) scoring the winning runs with 8 overs left to spare.

Kent won by 6 wickets
Man of the match was R.Key (Kent) however a couple of others could have got it MJ Di Venuto for his 114 or either M.Fleming M.Ealham for some very good bolwing.

Eyes not spreadsheets
Neil Carter was the Toast of Edgebaston after his 5-13 spell off 7 overs bowled Warwickshire to their first win of the season.

Batting first, runs were hard to come by, with opener Ostler scoring a 32 ball duck, but more runs from Knight, and a crucial pair of knocks from Penney (40 off 58) and Pollock (37* off 50) pushed Warwickshire to 186-5 off the 50 overs, Silverwood standing out with 2-24 off 10 overs.

In went Yorkshire, and at one point, they'd got to 71-2, but collapsed, losing 8 for
34 thanks to Carter, and Giles (2-19 off his 9 overs).

An 81 run win, and the Bears were relieved to get off the mark - left armer Carter proving he could be a star this season...

Bad luck to Yorkshire, you gave us a good game, and will surely get some wins soon.

soz every1, had exams
heres the WA v NSW report.
Exclusively from coach Steve Waugh The GUN:
I thought we played well after coming from a loss to mumbai. got off to a good start before losing 2 quick wickets but a steady recovery took us to 3-190 and in the end we ended up with 225 which i thought would be easy for the NSW batting line-up. Jo Angel and Williams got us off to a dream start with their combined figures of 3-38 off 13. Bevan and waugh were looking good before harvey got bevan and then brilliant fielding resulted in waugh's run-out. Martyn and hogg cleaned up the tail with only higgs showing any resistance and in the end we ran out victors by 80 runs which was great. big congrats to martyn and angel and hope langer can find some form so we can become real contenders.Big problem will be finding a replacement for strike bowler williams but we'll pull through.I'm quite worried about our low scores with only one or two batsman firing. some players are on the chopping block if they fail again.
Thank u and goodnight :) :)
