what he meant was Pant's batting alone isn't enough to overtake Watling's Keeping. Obviously wicketkeeping is the main part of being a wicket-keeper batter.

Tell that to some, who still maintain that batting is more important, no matter how many games are impacted by drops.

You can't be an ATG wicketkeeper batsman if your keeping is barely at test standard.

Sorry, but you need to show you're a world class keeper at the very least and he's never been that.

Pant is currently at number 21 among keepers with most runs. Another 1000 runs and he will be among Top 10 and another 2000 to be in Top 3.
