Never afraid to speak his mind whjch obviously meant he could come of as a bit of a dickhead at times. Always seemed honest and non-malicious even in his more acerbic moments though.

Obviously a great bowler too, top tier among Indian spinners. RIP.

A leading figure along with Sunil Gavaskar and Bhagwat Chandrasekhar in putting Indian cricket on the map. Had the honour of captaining his country which is rare for a bowler. Outspoken, distinctive and passionate character. Legend of the sport left us today.

I saw alot of Bedi bowling for India and Northants - quite simply the best action I've seen from a slow left arm spinner.

His stats bear out just how fine a bowler he was.
