Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Hi everyone!
I think it would be a good idea to resurect the representitive season. It would be a good way to keep people interested while everything is being prepared for the next season. I got pretty bored at work the other day and came up with a possible way of making it work with six new teams in division six.
The competition would be split into 4 groups;
ANZAC
ACT, Auckland, Canterbury, Northern Districts, NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia,
Europe
Glamorgan, Hampshire, Kent, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Yorkshire
Asia
Chittagong, Colts, Galle, Karachi, Karnataka, Lahore, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu
ROW - Africa/Americas
Barbados, Free State, Gauteng, Guyana, Jamaica Mashonaland, Northerns, Western Province
The managers of each representitve team would come from the managers from the repsective teams. 2 players will be nominated by each manager from the ANZAC and Europe teams to give squads of 20 to be used in both one day and first class fixtures. Because Asia and ROW only have 8 sides to choose from, 3 players will be nominated by each manager in the respective teams and the managers of the representitive teams can trim from that player pool to a squad size of 20.
These are just initial thoughts, and I would like to get everyone's opinion on the possibility of having the representitve season resume, especially the board's opinion.
I'd be more than happy to run the simulations and organise the entire competition.
Thanks for your time,
Kyle (Guyana Manager).
