Queensland have been dumped out of the VB Cup by a rampant Karantaka side.

Karnataka batted first and got 193. Knight topscored with 96*. Flintoff bowled well taking 4/27 and Hopes 3/24.

Queensland in reply could only manage 67 with Maher on 32. Richards took 4/14 and Moss 4/23.

They were too hot for us today and good luck in the final.

ACT SMASH MASHONALAND

Coach Loveland was seen crying walking out of the ground today. But could you blame him? his side put in what can only be descibed as a typically poor one day performance from him mashonaland side.
Mashonaland won the toss and elected to bat first. A Petal fell for 10 with the score at 21 and the ACT had already begun to make inroads into the Zimbabweans line up.
Evans with 38 was the highest score in an innings that never got going. All out for 214 in 49 overs was never going to be enough against the powerful Comets line up. Out going all rounder Christian Hanna took 3 wickets in a very good bowling effort from the lad from the Nations Capital. Simon Mann with 1/29 from his 10 was very impressive and had it not been for some suspectable umpiring he took have easily had 4 or 5.
Jeffrey came in looking to play some shots, he was stumped trying to hit Viljoen into the next postcode.
Michael Dawn continues to impress all in WCC with a brilliant 99* to go along with his 121* in the first one dayer. Captain Maxwell didnt stick around long and was gone for just 2. Redbacks recruit Shaun Williams combined with Dawn for an unbeaten stand of 171 and was 79 not out at the end.
ACT cruised to the total 2 wickets down in the 38th over. Viljoen's 2 wickets was the only joy for Mashonaland in the field.
Coach Simon Fitzsimmons said after the game that he expected his side to beat opponents like they are currently coming up against and would hope that his side can go through all of season 3 without a loss in any version of the game.
Trades to be confirmed this week are Trescothick and Watson as well as a few others that are unlikely to make the 12 man cut.
The Comets bandwaggon rolls on with an 8 wicket win this week.

Another 1st Division team and one of the best in WCCC send packing

Karnataka elected to bat first but did not got of to a good start losing 3 quick wickets with just 28 on the board. Then there was a patnership between N Knight and B Rowland and score reached 3/72.Then Rowland got out but Knight was on fire and with the help of others he lead Karnataka to a respectable score of 193.N Knight made 96* of just 68 balls.

It was not going to be easy for QLD as Karnataka has a great bowling lineup and they didnt disappoint. They got wickets regularly and bundled out QLD for just 67 with only J Maher making 32.G richards took 4/14 and J Moss took 4/23.

Karnataka have now entered in the finals of the Vb Cup and will face an in form side in Kent.It is Karnataka's debut season and to reach the finals of the tournament is just great and that too beating mumbai and QLD in the quarters and semis respectively.

seeing as though the new teams dont have rookies we can keep 12, same as other teams can keep 12 if they dont keep either of their rookies.

I wasn't crying Simon, I was happy I reached 200, and since only 2 of my bowlers have bowling averages close to 30, I think I did rather well  Good win mate. I'll write a non-biased view now... 8D

I just spent 10 mins teaching a guy how to use a scanner...

I have time to answer a few threads before I get called off again but not enough spare time to write a full report until it gets less busy...

Oh no they can't - EVERYONE can keep 10, no more, no less - You may trade a draft pick for a rookie, but that's it - you cannot keep 12 from the original 16.
