Tasmania vs South Australia.

Well it is offical now, Tasmania were slaughtered into last place in the second division.

Playing their same first eleven, they quick set about losing terrificly. South Australia ended 4 - 286 after there fifty overs. Wright, Watson and Pascoe, all in there last game for Tasmania got a wicket each.

Tasmania batted well ending up 7 - 221. What this doesn't show is that Tasmania did infact reverse its batting order and were at one stage 7 - 45. Luckily Ponting and DiVenuto steadied getting eighties.

The only good points about this is that Tasmania get the Number One Draft pick and Tasmania have got their name in eight of the Division Two partnerships. Four batting and four bowling, a great effort.

Next season looks good, with Murlie coming to Tassie...

LONG LIVE THE PANDA! AND GO TASSIE!

ND had a good win to end the season. This means they finish in 4th place and stay in Divison 2 next season.

Eyes_Only was very happy with the effort from the team this year and will find it very hard to get rid of some players in the up-coming draft.

Have a great off-season everyone and rock on the new season...

Yup I did too really good bowling from my team in the last game

Haha to Kent All Out for 45 or was it 42 !! lol hahaha

Im posting Summary of Kent game for kent :

We Played really good all round pathetic cricket today :P Our Batsmen and Bowlers Showed that they truly belonged to World Number 1 teams like Bangladesh, We got ass whopped in all forms of the game , We shouldnt have been roaming around through the night clubs before , that was wrong .. very wrong , i have been a naught boy .

As For Our Fellow County english Hampshire , they inspired us when our team was 10/8 like the Indian womens cricket team , we tried to manage an extra 34 runs thanks to wides and no balls ,

We Will be looking forward to the new season were we will be looking to break all forms of records for low batting scores along with County team mates Yorkshire , and get our bums wasted in Division 2 ( hint we actually belong with hampshire in division 3 , but we arent good enough for that yet )

Thanks a lot
We have many more suprises to come eg AllOut for 1 , Bowling Figures of none for 100 , etc

LANCASHIRE v WA

Lancashire batted first and had A.Swann(76), W.Hegg(37) and G.Chapple(31no) to thank for steering them through to a total of 244/8.
D.Martyn with 2/54 and J.Angel with 2/55 were the most successful WA bowlers.

The much unfancied Lancashire bowlers have been a revelation all season, particularly with the manner in which they have been able to restrict opponents and defend gettable totals. And today they did the job again as the visitors were dismissed for 202 with M.Goodwin(57) and S.Katich(54) providing the only resistance.
J.Wood(10-0-41-4), M.Smethurst(10-0-41-2), J.Anderson(10-4-25-1) and G.Maiden(10-2-39-1) all impressed. It is ironic then that none of these bowlers are likely to be retained as part of manager GrahamB’s reduced squad and a mystery as to why other managers have shown little interest in acquiring their talents.

A win to Lancashire by 42 runs, giving them a clear 4th place in Division One in the inaugural season of ‘WorldClubCricket.’

Queesland vs New South Wales

Well, it came down to the final match to decide the division 1 championship.

Queensland batting first, hit 4/255 off their 50 overs with a great opening stand of 146 between Matthew Hayden and Jimmy Maher. The two set the team up for a good total.

Maher the aggressor, with 113 off 145 balls, set the tone for the innings. Hayden hitting 70 off 78 balls proved why he, along with Maher, are the leading opening batsmen in the competition today.

In his last match for the Bulls, Andrew Symonds hit 23 from 21 balls.

In reply, New South Wales could only manage 193 off their 50 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.

A great start for Queensland, with Andy Bichel knocking over Mark Waugh to be 1/0 off 1 over.

J.Hopes showed why he deserved a new contract with the Bulls, earning 3/15 off 8 overs, including 3 maidens.

Queensland won the match by 62 runs therefore take out the division 1 title.

After the match, coach Slats said that he was very proud of his boys, and the amount of talent coming out of Queensland cricket.

Shame on you - wanting to lose is surely against the whole ethos of competition?

Umpire Money, is not a bitch.

He is worse than that!

Although he is a bia bia, he shouldn't be given the bad draft thingy, as he played a team. If he played only 7 players then he cheated.

Tasmania reversed their batting line up SO THERFORE THEY SHOULD PLACED BOTTOM OF DIVISION TWO!. South Australia did the same...

SA won division 2 did they not, and Tassie - well it does not matter what order they bat in - and they had already cemented last place - please do correct me if i am wrong though

I would like to clarify that SA played a normal batting line-up against Tassie and refute any claims to say the opposite...

I would like to clarify that i put in a team to see who i would be keeping as i had one more possition to fill in my retained side.
Also i wanted byas to go away with a win.

It just happened that i lost, sure loooosing was better because i had a better draft pick(wow by a whole 2 positions)but in my heart if we had beaten mumbai i would have been grateful.
The players i picked were in my list and i chose them accordingly. I cannot be told that because i chose to play a less than my best 11 i can lose my draft pick.
:undecided:
