International Captain
Warwickshire CC franchise have plans to pick up ship and move on to a new home, for season number 3 (whenever it may start??). This is due to financial difficulties, lack of support for the team from the locals and the manager, who the club adores, is home sick. We really want him to stay and if that means moving, so be it, we are willing to go wherever he wants, because he is such a great guy, who next season, can take this team to new heights.
We believe next season will be an improvement as we plan to get new
recruits in to steady the ship. We have landed some top rookies for next season, and our final pennies in this seasons budget have been invested in talent scouts to seek out the best players on offer, to improve our dodgy lineup.
If possible we would like to move to one of the following provinces: Auckland, Central Districts or Wellington. Although Auckland is already occiuped, we are sure we could reach some kind of agreement. It is the spiritual home of the manager, and he would basically do anything to manage them. Central Districts and Wellington are the other alternatives. Both top provinces in their own right, which would provide a nice environment for the players and Manager.
We finally beg you, to please grant this, as if it isn't granted, we run the risk of possibly losing our manager forever, and that is something we dont want. Without him the club will fade away.
Cheers,
Kurt Christensen, Chairman of Warwickshire CC
