Points. i will be posting up the points for round 1 today sometime along with the games man of the matches.

please note that the man of the match may not always get the 3 points but i cant see that happening too often. stay tuned.

to follow is a list of the player of the year points in text format. please do take into consideration that i give the points to the players i see that have contributed to a team winning, not just the highest score gets man of the match. so please if you think your player was deserved of a point and didnt get one i am sorry but it will all even out over the season.

hm.. strange why did you give it to Birch over Eaton? Birch scored 103 from 203 whereas Eaton scored 110 from 185. And becasue I won by an innings neither of them batted again. Trescothick 104 from 141 was also better than Birch. oh well

Although A Halse got man of the match for my team, I dont agree with it.

R Roach (10/178 off 53 econ 3.35) Free State

IMO Mushtaq from Mashonaland deserved MoM, and Roach at least deserved a player point!

However these things are always trivial, no point complaining i guess.

i look at a couple of things, opening the batting is probably one of the hardest things to do, and getting a tonne whilst doing so , where as trescothic batted at 7 and the ball is old and when you have a massive score the oppositions heads are down an he could slog a 100 quickly or do it quite more comfortably than a bloke that takes on the new rock.

just my opinion anyway!

guys i do understand and you guys have to understand also , what i think is worth 3, 2, 1 you guys may think its different, it happens in most sporting events and it will be the same with wcc. everyone has there different opinions on who should get what, and4day is a lot harder than 1 day to get it all right through 5 divisions as there is 2 innings for each team etc. so i admit i will probably get some worng, but please dont get upset with the 3 2 1 points that i do give out, and as i said to cloete it does come down sometimes to the situation of the game and if they played a bigger part than someone else etc.
