Player of the Year

Just think about running a 3-2-1 style player of the year. Have a couple of possible ways which this can be run. I think the best way for this to be run is that all managers interested in voting could submit their 3-2-1 for each match and then i could use these to find out who the points should go to. I know that not everyone has time to do this so maybe just those interested could submit.....maybe some ppl could submit every couple of weeks or something. Tell me what u think, especially GB cos i dont really know what you have planned at the moment.

i was thinking of exactly the same thing this afternoon. well pretty much the same, but the standard way to give out the points would be 3 points to the batsman with the top score in the match, 2 to the batsman with the second top and 1 to the batsman with thr 3rd top.
And the same for the bowling.
I dunno if this will work, but its something to consider.

I guess your way would be easier to manage......just depends if the other manages would want to vote on who they think is the best player.

I think the manager voting would be better - perhaps if just one team did it?

Maybe have the home team write the report, and the away team vote for the 3 star players?

Though about that but some managers might be bias. Also it doesnt work unless every manager paticipates and some are hardly ever on so i dont see them voting...

what about the board members going through and giving 3 , 2 , 1 points

how does that sound

Sounds like a good idea to me mate.

What you could do as you came up with the idea, is for you to go through each game and pick your players of the week. Then post them here on the forum for anyone who wants to vote then can vote.

And the rest of us could also offer you suggestions on players that you have missed etc.

However I wouldn't use the poll idea as you can't add players if you missed someone etc and for some reason you can vote more than once on some polls and for obvious reasons this would make the results unfair. You might also have more than 10 players for that week.

Anyway that's my thoughts
